Mother of Missing Christine Sheddy Organizing Search Party
The regular readers of the Pocomoke Tattler may have noticed by now that there are a number of VERY PASSIONATE people shouting from the rooftops that Christine Sheddy, mother of two, went missing near Pocomoke last year and come hell or high water they are going to find her. Her father who lives in Alaska is willing to travel to Pocomoke at his own expense to assist in any way he can. Total strangers have ‘come out of the woodwork’ offering to volunteer and help any way they can. Deleware Senator Joe Bidens Office has offered to send up to 125 retired law enforcement people to provide professional assistance and coordination of the search effort because Christine Sheddy went missing from Deleware.
We have said time and time again:
If this was our child missing we would be shouting from the rooftops until there was an answer or we found her.
The Pocomoke Tattler is their rooftop right now and for those of you reading who might not have noticed there is a link titled: Comments at the bottom of each story, posting, thread or whatever you want to call what we post here.
The average post gets 2 to 20 ‘Comments’ where you the readers may comment on whatever we post here. The only things we ‘edit out’ are spam commercial messages or profanity filled rants… Other than that we encourage people to say what they think, good bad or indifferent.

Two Confirmed Murders in Pocomoke, Is Christine the 3rd? 136 Comments
Not to mention hundreds of comments in other postings related to crime, corruption and murder here in Pocomoke City Maryland, the friendliest town on the Eastern Shore from the GROWING group of people concerned about Christine Sheddy and many other issues facing our community.
Just because the search for Christine Sheddy is being actively investigated by several law enforcement agencies does not mean that we, as citizens cannot do something to help her family.
What exactly can each of us do?
God has blessed each of us with unique gifts and nobody knows the detailed answer but we can all do something. Stephanie & I happen to hold the keys to the roof to shout from today, we may be cooking chicken or babysitting for people in the search party next week… who knows but sitting at home reading websites ain’t gonna find that missing girl!
Searching for clues or a body on private property is “more than a notion” and needs to be properly coordinated.
This post is meant to be a starting point to help coordinate, organize, communicate or whatever so please do what you can or throw in your two-cents into the comments section.

This is great. Everyone probly already thought of this but just in case you didnt, I think we should not speak about where we are going to look in case they read this and try to move her. Just a thought

We may be too late for that punisher, but you cant outstink a smelling cadaver dog, he’ll know if she was there.

Do you have a cadaver dog lined up? I have one in training, but he is not certified yet.

My apologies, must’ve been a misreading on my part. Hope we get one though. I’m still in progress on the Ferry tickets though.
Lynn, can you give me a rough idea of when? If you need to contact me privately, you know how to do it… tnx

Is certification necessary to take him out for something like this. I guess what I really want to say is if he were to pick up a scent and he were to find her would it not stand in court if he is not certified?
I can see that maybe if he were to signal he smelled something and there was nothing there but it was part of a trail that officials were already suspecting then I can see that the dog not being certified may not stand up, but if he signals a scent, then couldn’t that area be marked and a certified dog be brought to the scene?
Also Ms. Daisey, how long after a person has passed along a section of ground; say I was walking through the woods or across a field would my scent linger, and a dog be able to pick it up? Do you know?
I met Mr. Sharply and his canine companion a couple of years ago, and was amazed at her abilities!

We donated Foxy, the arson dog, to Worcester County! (Mr. Sharply’s partner!)

Oops - I forgot to answer the questions. I don’t know about the legalities (or much else at this point - this is a new area for me, as I run Licensed Retriever Field Trials) or how long scent lingers, but I definitely have someone I can ask.
Cadaver dogs do not track scent or follow trails, but SAR (search and rescue) track. I think I know someone locally who does trailing. Let me look through my phone book tonight!

Ms. Daisey,
Don’t go to any special trouble, it was pure curiosity. When Mr. Sharply was telling about the things that Foxy is able to do I was so amazed.
It’s wonderful gift that God gave us in our canine friends.

Detectives, Lynn, Anybody,
Has there been any confirmation by WCBI, the State Police or the FBI that they will participate in this search?
Will they assist?
Do they want us to do it?
Do they not want us to do it?
Is there a target date for the search?
We have placed a permanent link on the top right hand side of the site where we can communicate about Christine. This way the article won’t sink to the bottom of the page and you won’t have to scroll down two miles to find articles about her.

Sorry to hear that you are sick, everyone I know has been battling something!
I am glad to hear that things are moving along. Do you know if any of the law enforcement agencies are going to be participating?
Hope you feel better soon!

Hello All,
I am feeling a little better. I just spoke witj Dan Jaden from Senatore Bidens office. He is going to touch base with Detective Mitchell, They are going to put together a search party. I am so pleased. As much as everyone is willing to help search I would feel much better if we had the professionals do it. When they find Christine they have a crime scene to preserve. We dont want to mess up any evidence that would help prosecute the individuals responsible for this crime. I do appreciate everyones willingness to help me find Christine.
My mother got a postcard from AMW!!! They said that this matter needed their attention and they would be in touch. KEEP THOSE LETTERS GOING!!!! Let me know if anyone else recieved a postcard. You can post on this blog.

Thank the Elks for standing by. I would however like to provide the search Party with food and drinks. I dont know when the search will take place. The sooner the better I say. We just have to work out the logistics. This is a huge undertaking. I have full confidence In Scott Mitchell, along with Dan Jaden. We will find Christine. You guys in Pocomoke have a wonderful police officer in Detective Mitchell.

Clarence Butch Jackson, Jr. has a warrant for his arrest.
I have been following this case with great interest. Check the Maryland Judciary Case Search. It was issued on May 21, 2008. It’s an unrelated matter but at least it’s something.

There are 6 warrants for Clarence Butch Jackson, Jr. Three are pertaining to 2 of the same cases. Five of the warrants have been pending his being arrested. Strange, because the police know where he lives, why haven’t they arrested him?

If it is one thing I have learned is patience!!! Detective Mitchell has assured me that there will be a search. It was my decision to wait untill after the holidays. Our family thought it would be best that everyone enjoy the holidays with family and friends. Dont think for one minute that we have given up on a search for Christine. The search will go forward and Stephanie will be informed of the date and time with or without the blessings of the WCBI.

Not a word Brenda. You would think that an elected official would at least give you an acknowledgement in the form of a letter or phone call….even if it was to politely tell you to piss off. But I’m not bitter…just fed up!!!!!
posted on: Saturday, December 27th, 2008 @ 5:25 pm
Mitchell is a good guy, and a good cop.. we need more like him… and I’m sure you can take him at his word
as far as elected officials go…. sadly, if they can’t see any monetary gain or publicity from the outcome they ain’t interested… if this was one of their family members the case would’ve been solved long ago. Or if someone in high office takes an interest in the case it will get solved as the local gurus will want to score brownie points.. it’s the way the system works…
I plan on contacting whomever becomes in-charge of this to find out what I can do to help in any way I can… this needs to come to a head… SOON! the longer they wait the harder it will be to solve this mystery… someone needs to contact unsolved mysteries or anyone that will put pressure on the local officials.

xtraham,
I am holding Detective Mitchell at his word. As far as publicity goes….what are they thinking? Can you imagine the “atta boy’s” they would get if they solved this crime!!!! What is stopping them? I have my thoughts on this matter, I will keep them to myself at this point. Stephanie has a list of volunteers. Stephanie will be contacted as soon as I get a search date. The reason I ask about the hunting season is because this was a concern….we didnt want anyone out in the woods with hunters. I know that there is rifle season, bow season, and muzzle loader season….i just didnt know when and how long it lasts.

I just asked the hunting question to someone today. Something about muzzle loaders can hunt now. I was in Northern WoCo today and was hearing hunters. Also saw vehicles parked on the public land by the county offices in Bishopville. The only time someone is parked there is hunting season.

I MEAN COME ON IF THERE WAS ANY DIRT DONT YOU THINK THAT THE SO CALLED FORENSIC SCIENTIST YOU BROUGHT IN WOULD HAVE FOUND IT BY NOW.

Do you think for one minute that Clarence & Tia’s every move wouldn’t be watched? Do you think that anything that has or hasn’t been found would be posted on this forum? Don’t know anything about a forensic scientist - please, do tell. They will be left alone the day that the cell doors slam behind them. Jail is a lonely place. You can throw all of the crap out here that you want but it doesn’t change a thing. The facts are the facts and it’s a known fact that they have lied about Christine.

Of course everyone is watching every step and move Jr and Tia are making. Not only are they being watched, but so are family members and friends.
IMAMA you are completely stupid if you can’t figure out why we are focused on Clarence and Tia.
I myself watched Tia’s mother when she was in Ocean City this past summer. She was with her friend from Pennsylvania and they stayed at the Safari on 13th St and the Boardwalk.

Imama2009…
Are you really that jaded that you cant see what is going on? Tia, Junior, Justin and others were the last people to see Christine alive. Common sense dictates that those people are the most likely suspects. Also, they have all REFUSED the polygraph test to clear their names. They could very easily clear themselves of any wrong doing by simply taking the test. I would be the first one in line DEMANDING to take the test.
Have you ever heard of MENTAL ABUSE? It is just as bad if not worse than physical abuse. The only difference is that the scars are on the inside not the outside. I know for a fact that Your Nephew is mentally abused by Junior. I heard it for myself!!!! I was talking to Junior on the phone and I heard a childs voice, Junior stopped talking to me and said, “SHUT UP YOU LITTLE MOTHER FUCKER!!!” i asked him who he was talking to and he told me it was his son!! So dont you dare tell me or anyone else for that matter that Junior isnt hurting that child. I didnt hear Tia come to his defense. Like most abused women she wont stand up to her abuser. FYI…I have been in contact with family members of Tia who have been concerned with Tia and her children. Obviously you have no idea on whats going on.
Your comment on the forensic scientist……….what makes you so sure he didnt find something? Have you ever heard of “getting your ducks in a row”? If I were you I would be more concerned with your nephew’s well being as well as Tia’s. Rest assured that we are doing every thing to bring justice for Christine…..If that means concentrating on the last people to see her alive….then so be it!!!! Tell them to take the test and clear their names, it’s as easy as that.

Here is what I Think happened Christine heard or seen something and Levi plotted it out carefully with JR. Jr being the criminal he is knows you need a alibi Jr told Levi to go to work. Tia watched the kids while JR did something to Christina .He and Tia left to go to school and had someone like Levi’s cousin come to the house and keep the children busy. They returned and then went and hid her somewhere and cleaned up the evidence. Sometime they realized she had called her mother telling her she was coming home they had to make up a story to cover their tracks. So JR called Christine mother telling her that she had left. Since that time after the searches they have taken her and hid her in several places every time they get wind of a new search coming they move her somewhere else. I say Lynn never give up keep having searches for her at every place that you think she might be. Also find some one legal that you can put tracking JR and his Criminal crew 24/7 watching there every move and don’t hide that they being watched let them know it and they will screw up and drop a hint and then you will have then. Pressure is something that works on the normal criminal they get nervous and screw up. This is just my opinion of what I think happened.

After having lived in Pocomoke in my youth I can not believe that there is not a quiet little whisper in that town right now. I know there is a rumor somewhere that most of the town has heard that has yet to be given to the investigating LE. Maybe it is just a rumor an “I heard from so and so who heard from” but there has to be something. There is no way that there is not an underlying buzz about the fact that a woman up and disappears like a ghost in the night. Maybe it is the twenty something crowd that has this info. Maybe it is an overheard conversation at a local watering hole or during league night at the Pocomoke Lanes. Maybe you have heard something in the breakroom at Wal-Mart or Sysco. Maybe you heard something from one of your customers at Nocks, or Midway, or even at Hardee’s. Possibly your son or daughter came home from a soccer game at PHS talking about the rumor of who merely knew a guy who knew a guy who knows what happened to Christine Sheddy. We can not let these quiet whispers go unchecked. If you have heard anything, anything at all about what happened to Christine Sheddy you have the right, no you have the responsibility to make this information known to LE, no matter how outlandish and far fetched it may seem. Remember a simple twist of fate and any of us could be in the exact same position that Lynn Dodenhoff is in right now. Not knowing, and on a daily basis having to wonder about the fate of a loved one more importantly her own child. Lynn and her family have shown amazing patience through the last 20 months, yes 20 months. I know this patience is due to a sense of responsibility to Christine’s three young children. I can assure that if I were in her position having lost my child and not having any grand children…..the face of that city would be different . The city leaders and law enforcement should give her a medal for the patience she has shown I would have been given 5 to 10 years by now for sure.
But back to the main point if any of you have heard any little whispers or water cooler chatter in that city please, please let someone in law enforcement know. You can do it with out giving any information about yourself and believe me no matter how outlandish what you may have heard seems there is always the possibility there is at least a shred of truth that could lead to closure for this family. Even if you do not want to go to the authorities you always have this site where you can submit infomation and I am sure it will be directed to someone to follow up on. And again remember the smallest little clue could be the one to bring closure to a family and particularly Christine’s three beautiful young children.
