FOIA NEWS: RUSS BLAKE BOSS HOGG’S POCOMOKE CITY MANAGER REFUSES TO PRODUCE SELF DEALING EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT… Evidence that could convict him of criminal conduct disappears.. hmmm
December 5th 2007 I renewed my lawfully and properly submitted Maryland Public Information Act request for a copy of the crooked City Manager’s employment contract that he pushed through on the eve of the last Mayoral election in April of 2005. This was a follow up to my original FOIA (Freedom Of Information Act) request for the same public document in May of 2005 that was verbally denied in a manner totally inconsistent with Maryland Public Law and policy based on King Russ Blake’s public “withdrawal” of this criminal act of self dealing employment contract. The document was even dated with the employment contract with the Chief of Police who has no performance metrics, cannot get fired for anything short of capital murder (upon conviction) and if fired the City pays his unpaid salary in cash, in full on the spot.
Can anyone image how or why the keeper of the records would “lose” evidence that could convict City Manager Russ Blake of criminal conduct?
Pocomoke City has an openly corrupt government and the King must have some new pictures of the Mayor and Councilman Morrison.
Why else would they let a crooked City Manager get away with openly ripping off the people?
This is just beyond words.

You better believe she would be out on her well cushioned behind in the Pocomoke streets with the rest of the thugs and crack-heads if she didn’t bootlick the Boss Hoggers ’skrat skin shoes!
Haul these people out to the central green and stockade them! I have a special mix of vegetables in my compost box at the ready to douse them with.

Could be that the language you used in the FOIA request was too specific. They could be playing the game that there is no document with that (exact) name.
You shuold file another request with slightly broader wording, “any and all documents relating to the City Manager’s employment.”

I have always said that Pocomoke City is a microcosm of the rest of our world. If it’s happening here, it’s probably happening everywhere.
Over the last few years many have felt powerless to make real change on a national level, however, with tenacity and persistence one can make change on a local level.
If people would take the time try and make a difference in their own backyard maybe just maybe all those little ripples could create a big enough wave to bring about change on a national scale.

The city has played FOIA games in the past and even destroyed records.
I was trying to be “nice” and modified this ‘updated’ request from the original request in 2005.
