After Worcester County State’s Attorney Joel Todd received a tip that lead to the recovery of a female body in Snow Hill Friday, there has been a *LOT* of speculation whether or not those remains are Christine Sheddy.

Neither the medical examiners office in Baltimore nor Mr. Todd’s office have released any information that the remains have been positively identified as Christine Sheddy or anyone else.

At this point in time we have received word the body is still “Jane Doe” and will “officially or unofficially” remain so until a positive identification has been made, with the information released through the proper official channels.

The Blogosphere has lit up over the weekend with a lot of speculation about the identity of the body and who is in charge of the investigation. Whose on First?

We can say one thing is certain, that a very pissed off mother has lead the charge in this case and Lynn Dodenhoff is a force to be reckoned with. Cops & investigators from a variety of agencies know this for a fact and so do the bad guys, but to come out and say with 100% certainty that Christine has been found is premature right now.

There are a lot of people who have made a lot of comments about this case around the Blogosphere and all I can say, is wait until the truth comes out.

The statements made by lead detective / corrupt mayor Mike McDermott have been on the record for over a year now and he has made it clear to the public & law enforcement that a proper investigation of Ms. Sheddy’s murder simply was not worth his precious time.

*IF* the facts reveal that Worcester County State’s Attorney Joel Todd and his team of investigators working with Christine’s Mom led to finding her body then they deserve a medal and our support come election time.

Finding Christine’s body is only part of the job and we all certainly hope that it was her found in that serene Snow Hill location last week.

Injustice 1: Christine Sheddy was ripped from her children’s arms then brutally murdered with her body hidden in plain sight.

Injustice 2: The lead investigator Mike McDermott did not like the victims MySpace page and told her mother that she was a sponge on society who would not be missed and had probably abandoned her children to go on a drugging spree in Seattle, Washington.

Injustice 3: False reports & rumors are being spread as fact throughout the blogosphere by people who are scurrying to save careers and reputations.

The Eastern Shore still has the small town mentality which is good but everyone saying that they have “unofficial confirmation” that the body found was Christine Sheddy is crazy to publish it as fact. Especially in light of the fact that several groups of investigators have been proven to have lied to the family and the public on this case.

We are still waiting for official word and hope that a complete set of arrests are announced with the confirmation of the remains found Friday.Until then, it’s whose on first because nobody really knows who is in charge of the case at this point in time.It’s Pocomoke… Just say NO to Mike McDermott for State Delegate
