A Comment from Christine Sheddy’s Stepfather About Mike McDermott
” I just glanced over the posts to this string. I see the name Christine Marie (that was my daughters name too) but I dont see any other family 
members names, in fact, its mostly about McDermott and Joel Todd.
You want to see a family whose names are being drug through the mud, slide on over to the darkside of the hate mongers site. I havent been there in a long time, but I hear they are having fun at our expense. I wonder if they would be brave enough to come out from behind the safety of their computor screen and say these things to my face.
I wonder if they know that one day they will have to give an account for every word they say. I will have to explain why I said all those bad things about Mcdermott. I think its pretty clear why I dislike McDermott, basicly, he let Christine’s murderers get away.
To whom much is given, much is required. Mcdermott was given authority to enforce the law and the powers of arrest.
He chose to think Christine was not worth his time, that she was a sponge on society as he put it, to my wife, on the phone , as she cried.
Can you imagine how low a person has to be to do that.
So you see, anything can happen in p-city, and I question everything.”

When I heard about the remains, Christine immediately came to mind. Why wasn’t there a county wide search? So sad the delays in response from law enforcement. Christine deserves a thorough and complete investigation. Her murderer needs to be punished to the fullest extent of the law. May she rest in peace, and her family begin to heal. May those of you that accused her of running off and abandoning her children hang your heads in shame. To all of those suffering from the loss of Christine, you are in my prayers.

You could have had the combined police forces from every country in the World searching, and they would have NEVER found the remains (whoever they may be) that were uncovered last Friday.
Only good old fashioned police work by a determined investigator could have located the remains in question.

You are correct and that has been all anyone from the family has asked for.
One good determined investigator did crack this case, her name is Lynn Dodenhoff, Christine’s mother.
Nobody ever leaned on the suspects and their associates for information. McDermott was more concerned with appearances that solid policework.
John Walsh is proof positive of what a single pissed off parent can do, that man has turned this nation on it’s ear and criminals fear him.
The entire community of Pocomoke has been seen AT IT’S WORST through the Christine Sheddy murder case.
Blogs have sprung up that are still spewing hate saying it’s her fault she got killed by hanging out with the wrong crowd.
NO CHRISTINE WAS MURDERED, SHE WAS TORN FROM HER CHILDREN’S ARMS…
The babies are lucky to be alive.
Back to your statement; Good old fashioned police work means questioning suspects and sometimes grilling them, you know the old good cop / bad cop game.
Never happened with this case.
Why?
Mike McDermott did not like her MySpace page, her friends or her lifestyle.
Mr Mayor / Lead Detective was judge & jury in November 2007 regarding whether or not to do some work on this case or stuff his fat face with another doughnut…
Looking at his waistline will tell you who won…
Why bring this up?
The pissed off mother is grieving long with the rest of the family and sometimes its my job to do the dirty work of reminding people who visit our website of the truth.

For all we know, she could have still been alive while the old fashioned police were wasting time looking at her facebook deciding she wasn’t worthy of the effort.

I meant good old fashioned police work by a single investigator and yes Lynn too, certainly NOT McDermott.
