BREAKING NEWS!!!!! Womans Remains Found in Snow Hill….Is it Christine?
A womans decomposed remains have been found in Snow Hill today and authorities are being very hush hush about the identity of the body until dental records can confirm her identity.
Please, everyone say a prayer that if Christine is no longer on this earth that these will be positively identified as those of Missing Mother of 3 Christine Sheddy.
Her family has waited for over two years to have closure on this case, and with all of the investigative work going on in the background over the last few weeks, it is my sincere hope and prayer that the Christine’s Mom, Lynn, father Claire, Stepfather Steve, Sister Jen, and her three children will be able to bring Christine’s remains home and lay them to rest.
These children deserve to know that their Mommy didn’t abandone them, but was instead brutally taken from them.

To Quote Mike McDermott in his roles as lead investigator & Pocomoke Mayor
“Nobody is going to miss her, she is a sponge on society”
I sure hope the media takes the time to ask McDermott why he made that statement to her mother and local blog owners, while claiming that Sheddy was in Seattle.
How would you like your murdered daughter to be called a sponge on society by the lead detective?
A man like this wants to represent the Eastern Shore as State Delegate.
It’s my understanding that finding Christine happened AFTER the County Sheriff’s were forcibly removed from the case and it was handed over to the State police.
Pocomoke Detective Scott Mitchell (McDermotts protogee) who was forced to resign after lying to the States Attorney with held and tampered with evidence in the Sheddy case.
Why would the same crooked cops & politicians who protect Pocomoke’s notorious open air drug market, protect Christine Sheddy’s murderers?
Just say NO to Mike McDermott for State Delegate

I hope, for the sake of closure for Lynn and all Christine’s loved ones, that this is indeed Christine. And I hope there will be clues that lead to the murderer(s) who did this. That would really be something.

IS MCDERMOTT STILL ON THE CASE???
posted on: Saturday, February 20th, 2010 @ 11:03 am
No McDermott is no longer on the case, nor is he to come near the body as per her mother.
The hard work of a mother never giving up, and a wise SA having mercy on her to insist the case be handed over to officers who know what they are doing, may have within days of the case being turned over to the State actually solved this two year old mystery.
Please let’s pray that this is the final answer on Christine Sheddy.

Has it been confirmed to be Christine yet? If not, do the authorities say when they will be able to make a determination and when they will make an announcement on the identity? Lynn, a mother’s prayer for you. A mother should NEVER have to live this nightmare!

Lynn,
My prayers are with you and your family. Never think I ever gave up talking about Christine to people I would run into. Not that it seemed to help, I just wanted her name kept out there, so people wouldn’t forget.
Please keep us informed if it is Christine, and what arrangements you are planning.

Thanks to you guys, Billy and Stephanie, for keeping everyone informed for all this time.

Stephanie, can you say a little more about the case having been turned over to the state? Thank God it happened, but how and when did it come about?

The truth shall be known very soon and we want to see law enforcement finish the job with arrests & convictions.
It’s time Christine and her family get some closure and justice.
Everyone is waiting on the “official word” and when it’s confirmed we will let you know.

Thanks, Billy! I’ll certainly wait (anxiously) until you guys can say more. Wow, this feels like such a huge breakthrough. Amazing.

Seriously? Billy I am saddened that you find it appropriate to bring in your political banter on this post rather than focusing on the fact that Christine may possibly be found and her family may finally have peace. How about taking a few minutes to pray for Christine’s family or whoever’s family that this body belongs to. Now is not the time to continue the McDermott bashing, but rather a time to rejoice that her body may possibly be found. Come on Billy, have some decency.

Seriously:
We are estatic that the process of closure may now start to begin for Christine’s family.
You were not privvy to the phone calls, conversations and e-mails we had with Mike McDermott on this case.
His level of callousness was simply beyond belief.
We have kept a *LOT* of things confidential as requested by investigators on this case and have provided anything that they asked for that we may have had.
The crime is pure evil and we are glad that someone had the cajones to come forward to tell what they knew to bring this case to a close.
If Mike McDermott had done his job in the beginning and not told anyone that would listen that Christine was a druggie who abandonded her children and was last seen in Seattle, maybe it would not have taken 2-YEARS & 4 months to locate her remains.
To Lynn, we offer congratulations with condolences, this can only be bittersweet.
The big FU to Mikey is for Lynn & Christine because they can’t say it right now.
Yes our prayers will continue to go out to Christine’s family, her precious children, her mother, her sister and everyone she left behind.
We have done what we could to keep the Christine Sheddy case alive and in the public spotlight, that is more than the cops originally investigating this crime, with Mike McDermott in the lead have done.

Regardless of what I was or was not privvy to, you can at least wait until she’s been identified and put at rest before you automatically jump to political comments. This isn’t the time Billy. If you’re mad, that’s fine, but you look like a heartless idiot when the first thing you start talking about is McDermott.

McDermott is the reason this case was not solved two years ago.
The national main stream media needs to know that the Candidate for State Delegate told the mother of a murdered woman her daughter was “a sponge on society” and not worth his time to investigate.
The purpose of the Pocomoke Tattler is to expose corruption & incontinence in the Pocomoke city government.
Mike McDermott is the head of that crooked government and was the lead investigator who totally dropped the ball with this case.
If McDermott had bothered to be a cop and question the people involved it might not have taken 2 years to find a body.
It may be months before the forensic work is completed and Christine can be properly laid to rest, are you asking us to wait and not talk about McDermott’s insulting the mother and mishandling the case?
That would be a “heartless idiot” by letting McDermott get away with it while the media spotlight is on the case.
