Pocomoke Mayor and his openly corrupt ballot box stuffing City Council gave the disgraced Pocomoke Detective Scott Mitchell an award for “solving” the arson case where many of Boss Hogg’s records of fraudulent government contracts, kickbacks and financial crimes against the City were destroyed.

In light of the fact that the Worcester County States Attorney’s investigators have proven that Pocomoke Mayor Mike McDermotts personal thug cop is a liar, has tampered with evidence on felony cases, submitted false reports to the States Attorney and who knows what else, EVERY SINGLE CASE HE TESTIFIED IN IS OPEN TO APPEAL AND MOST LIKELY BE OVERTURNED!!!

Official minutes of the February 9, 2009 Pocomoke City Council Meeting:

The regular meeting of the Pocomoke Mayor and Council was held in the Council Chambers at City Hall on Monday, February 2, 2009.  The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M.

 

                        Present:           Mayor Michael McDermott

Council Members Honiss Cane, Rob Clarke, Robert Hawkins, Bruce Morrison

City Attorney Gordon Gilmore and Mark Tilghman arrived at 8:50 P.M.

                                                City Manager Russell W. Blake

                                                City Clerk Carol L. Justice

Special recognition of Det. Sgt. Scott Mitchell upon the recent arrests in the arson and B & E cases at City buildings:

            Mayor McDermott presented Det. Sgt. Mitchell a “Commendation”, commending him on an outstanding investigation leading up to the arrest of three individuals.

            Chief Ervin thanked the Mayor and Council for increasing the reward money, which helped them in solving the case.

This same Mayor Mike McDermott and Boss Hogg’s puppet illegally sitting city council are reported to have voted to give the disgraced detective his full pension and retirement benefits after Mitchell was forced to resign for refusing to arrest the rapist of a 7-year old girl and tampering with evidence in the case.

Pocomokes openly corrupt city government has opened the door for a flood of lawsuits and criminal convictions to be overturned in their efforts to buy this scumbag Mitchell’s silence on their other crimes.

I spoke with several of the people investigating the “arson” of this building and asked if there were any piles of files or records burned? Yes

Were there any older computers burned? Yes

 Did you conduct a forensic examination to recover the financial data on the hard drives? NO

Was the insurance fraud investigator notified of the possible government contracting fraud cover up as a possible motivation for the fire? NO

The reason for the fire was clear as day to me, but the people look at me like a “tin foil hat conspiracy theorist” when I matter of factly stated the reason for the fire was so City Manager “Boss Hogg” Russ Blake could destroy incriminating evidence on contract fraud against him.

Who would pay $255,000.00 for roof trusses in an old building? The City of Pocomoke for the Discovery Center, that’s who.

Who are the members of the LLC that Boss Hogg sold the 3-square blocks of downtown waterfront in a backroom deal for $750,000 at the peak of the real estate bubble when it was worth $3 to $5 million on the open market? They are reported to be current and former members of the city Council but Maryland corporate law does not require LLC’s to disclose their members or share holders and the City did not ask.

What about the reports of kickbacks on the pigging contracts 7-years ago?

Where did the extra couple hundred thousands for this and tens of thousands for that go? Was it to shell or dummy corporations owned or controlled by Boss Hogg?

Who knows and the records were destroyed in the fire that Pocomoke’s finest Test-A-Liar disgraced Detective Scott Mitchell was commended for “solving” by coercing “confessions” from a couple of kids who had a couple of strikes against them using “planted” evidence and no physical connection to the crime.

The investigation for this “arson” that destroyed city financial records that can quite possibly incriminate Boss Hogg and others in financial crimes now needs to be re-opened by professionals, not scumbags who cover child rapists and certainly not controlled by the Scumbag Mayor & City Council who reward members of their crooked government for not arresting child molesters who work for Boss Hogg’s criminal enterprises.

The people of Pocomoke City need to stand up with one voice, in one accord and run the criminals at Pocomoke City Hall out of town tarred & feathered on a rail.

But they will question these allegations and wait for JD to give his report to Boss Hogg so mouthpiece Mikey can say, “It’s just Billy Burke and he’s still mad about having his building bulldozed” then go back to church like nothing happened, while another child is being raped or murdered with Boss Hogg’s blessing.

I hope you good Germans of Pocomoke sleep well knowing that your silence is what keeps the criminal enterprise at Pocomoke City Hall operating day in and day out.
