A Message from Christine’s Sister

It seems some people don’t remember how gracious my family Christines Childrens last Halloween with their Momand I are, and have been to those who care to help us find our loved one.

I went through about a third of the old threads on here, and decided to show again that we have always been thankful to anyone who expressed support in Christine’s unsolved murder and the finding of her body.

Below are just the first findings of skimming over the posts. I don’t think I should have to post ALL of the thank you posts since they are abundant, and I shouldn’t have to prove and defend ourselves to people who simply think what they want to regardless if the facts are available.

Hello All,
Sorry I haven’t posted sooner. I have had a busy couple of days. Thank you all for keeping up the fight to bring Christine’s story to everyone’s attention. God knows we cant do it alone. I did receive a response from Joe Krebs…I will let you know how that goes. I will post later on this evening after I get ALL CHRISTINES CHILDREN to bed. (I told you I have been busy). I will be posting soon.

Thank the Elks for standing by. I would however like to provide the search Party with food and drinks. I don’t know when the search will take place. The sooner the better I say. We just have to work out the logistics. This is a huge undertaking. I have full confidence In Scott Mitchell, along with Dan Jaden. We will find Christine. You guys in Pocomoke have a wonderful police officer in Detective Mitchell.

when Christine went missing our family contacted Comcast and asked if they would post her picture on their public service channel…They said they would keep it on as long as she was missing. They have kept their word. Thank you Comcast!!!

I cannot even begin to convey to you how your words have touched my heart. I just got off the phone with my mother and Jen, we were all moved to tears. I don’t think anyone could have said it any better. Thank you for your compassion, thank you for standing guard at that window. She is one of God’s children and I know with caring, compassionate people such as yourself, God will lead us to her so that she can be brought home to her family that loves and misses her. Thank you for sharing that story with me and everyone else that will read it. It was a breath of fresh air, and it was glorious. God Bless you.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who cares. I’ve learned through all this that there are not many who are willing to stand up and do the right thing. So for those who still posses that God given quality I want to thank you for your efforts. We know we lost Christine, but we would like to close this case, and move on with our lives in peace without having to consistently wonder. Again, I just wanted to convey my appreciation to those people who will help our family look for our lost loved one. Thank you.

It is a relief to be getting recognition and seeing people come forward to help. I, personally, am so grateful for everyone who is willing to donate their time and resources. After all the backs that were turned on us it feels inspiring having citizens help us. This is long over due and Christine deserves the attention she never got (besides the Tattler) and to be found. Her small kids need the answers and so does the rest of her family and friends. I don’t think the pain of not knowing can be explained or the anger of being ignored. However, here we are pulling together this weekend with a huge force of volunteers. Thank you for helping find my sister.

I just got off the phone with Stephanie. I was telling her that I am stunned, shocked, and humbled by the love and support that Pocomoke citizens are showing our family. I just cant tell you how much we appreciate everyone’s willingness to help us. To all that have donated food, drinks, resources, and most of all, your time…Thank You!!! I hope to meet and thank everyone personally on Saturday. Again, thank you. I will see you on Saturday.
Gratefully

It seems that some commenters in this community have also forgotten what they have said as well… Recently these folks have accused the editors of this blog and Christine’s family of accusing Law Enforcement of doing nothing.  It doesn’t seem that they have such a good memory.

I (Jennifer) also stumbled upon these posts. The same posters now claim LE’s best foot was forward on Christine’s case, and that we need to stop fighting to find her and plant a tree instead.

On the Tattler 11/27/08- Xtraham (aka Pocomoke public eye) said:

Mitchell is a good guy, and a good cop.. we need more like him… and I’m sure you can take him at his word as far as elected officials go…. sadly, if they can’t see any monetary gain or publicity from the outcome they ain’t interested… if this was one of their family members the case would’ve been solved long ago. Or if someone in high office takes an interest in the case it will get solved as the local gurus will want to score brownie points.. it’s the way the system works…

On Scared Monkeys (before he was banned) Public Eye also wrote on August 22nd 2009:

I personally think that the PCPD and WCBI think that this case is not worth their time. In-fact I have been told when I asked a particular investigator if he was going to the search, he said “it’s not worth my time”

On the same date, site and poster:

I’m still not afraid of them and they do not like that at all.

This has nothing to do with the case, I am just showing y’all what we are dealing with here.

that’s why Blink needs to be really careful. It’s also why records were scrubbed while the Blink crew was looking into it.

believe me now?!!

Also on the 29th:

Public Eye - Isn’t this a great site!
PE’s response: Yes, and that baby is adorable

To all monkeys;

it’s been real and I’ll be reading, but I have been told (in so many words) to shut-up so I will respect that.

PE - who told you to “shut up” and why? I have enjoyed posting with you!
someone that is working really hard to bring this scum to justice, they didn’t come out and say for me to “shut-up” but we had a misunderstanding of information exchanged in emails, and rather than that happen again I’d just as-soon not reply so that I cannot in any way stall or hamper this investigation.

I’m a life long resident of this tiny town of Pocomoke (47 years) so I know the lay of the land and get the ‘gossip’ even though I don’t want to hear it, if y’all know what I mean.

So with that said, I will keep up with the case and pray for all those involved that are working so diligently to bring these animals to justice. I want it as much as anyone so maybe I’ve been ‘trying’ to hard to help.

If anyone has any questions about local knowledge I’d be glad to answer your questions VIA email, but I will ask/ok the answer before I return the email. I hope you monkeys understand.

Again I have enjoyed the exchange and I had no idea that little’ol me would know something that could get in the way of bringing those dirt-balls to justice.

feel free to email me but, if you do, please put monkeys in the title line so I wont think it’s spam. @

Now on to Blink’s site…

Blink
I watch. I wait. You never dissapoint. You could flick a flea off a log in Montana from NYC with your smarts alone.

I said I wouldn’t comment any longer as not to let any cats out of the bag again… but I have too here.
That comment gave me a smile, and I whole heartedly agree. Everyone has a special talent, but the extremely special talent and patients it must take to find something from nothing and put it all together like Blink and crew is no less than amazing.

Notice the last sentence on this one:

Ahh yes, it’s all coming together now..
Refer back to my previous post in an earlier chapter RE the scrubbing of records when you get too close.
Maybe they wanted Christine on the farm because she had government assistance and they thought they would have more money for for drugs by not having to buy as much food etc.
Why didn’t “Q” make the trip to the farm when he dropped Christine off at walmart? It’s only another one mile drive.
I don’t think anyone around here would be scared of JR, I would say just the opposite, JR was probably scared of the people here.
Something like this is way out of our LE’s league, There pride would not let them own up to needing outside help, and it’s actually not in the city limits so the Wor. county sheriffs office and WCBI should be the ones calling the shots.
Yep, it’s all coming together, the missing link is why Christine was dropped off at walmart when it was only another 2 minuet drive to the farm. They were hiding ’something’ right from the start.
I can also guarantee you that the cops and mcdermott are working overtime covering their tracks right-now.

#255 Even though I have heard of that conversation before, I still want to scream!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a man that preaches at his church. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I will stop there. Contrary to McDermott’s beliefs, Christine and her family, have home training. Lucky for him.
Christinesmom; You are certainly a rare breed, and I mean that in the most respectful and good way.
That’s a good one, I assume you mean mcdermott is not house broken LOL. Thanks for the laugh today. You’re the best.

Now back to the Tattler…

Strange how they worked so diligently to find Franky Outten, they even went as far as to call a psychic in and she actually solved the case and led them to Franky’s body and who killed him.
It all comes down to if they want to or not, if they can find one cow in bung flip Egypt out of billions that has mad cow disease, they can find a person(s) if they want too, cows can’t talk, people do which should make it much easier.
I do know, or I think you now have, one officer that will not give up if they let him work. Keep the faith

Lynn and her family have been through enough and every day that passes without any answers, adds to their suffering. They have enough “mystery” in their lives and don’t need anyone being “oh so mysterious” as you are being.

Ceemor said:

When McDermotts possee took over, they worked on the case as if Christine had run away. They made this judgement based on stories by Levi Hall and family, Clarence Jackson, and Tia Johnson. Obviously they made the wrong judgement!
So how about it McDermott. Will you put aside your lofty airs and get this case solved????? Even sponges deserve to be layed to rest!

We ALL still care and have not forgotten! If the authorities and the bad guys and gals thought that we would just fade away — they thought wrong.
It has been 1 year since Christine went missing. Beep, beep, beep - times up WCBI!
We all know what’s up with Christines case. It’s within our power, as citizens, to hound the powers that be like white on rice. For those of us who live in Worcester County - remember this at election time. Let it be known that McDermott won’t even get elected to “dog catcher”! I mean really, he can’t catch the bad guys and gals, how in the hell is he going to catch dogs?

Billy, we have all been watching and waiting for any kind of word concerning Christine. So what if the bad guys read the blogs? I never understood that theory either. Sometimes ignoring something does not make it go away.
I think this case got botched up during the beginning stages of Christine disappeance. I have never heard of getting a search team together and then not be allowed to search.
It’s just so hard to believe no one is looking and all the family and concerned public have to go on is what the police department says. I think the departments in charge of this matter have told the public a bunch of poppycock and we believed it.

Well Folks - It looks like “quiet time” is finally over. For those of us who have been quiet and patient letting law enforcement do their job - no more!!!
We all know what happened to Christine. For that matter, the “bad guys & gals” who also read this blog - you know what happened to her too. It doesn’t matter how much you have tried to become model citizens, you are what you are.
Count your days, bad guys & gals. When outside help arrives, Worcester County will no longer be able to divert the case.
The angels in heaven are singing and the fairies on the ground are dancing!

The former Sherriff Crockett was a wonderful sherriff. He was smart and regardless of the circumstances he was “on it”. If he had been involved in the case of Christine Sheddy things would have been done differently.
So I guess Worcester County departments can bring in heavy equipment, dig up the earth while law enforcement stands around and waits. But they can’t spend the tax dollars to drag the ponds at the landfill. They can’t or won’t doe everything possible to find this person. Or don’t want to. So be it. I get it. Doesn’t seem far, in the least, but it is done that way.
The case of Christine Sheddy was doomed from the beginning and so will any other cases similar to it in the future. Sometimes actions speak louder than words.
You gave one answer to the question, “why hasn’t anything been done”.
So sad and pathetic.

It hasn’t been solved because those with the ability to try to solve it don’t care. Whether there was foul play suspected or not, those ponds should have been dragged. Dogs should have been sent to the landfill. But I guess some are worth searching for and others aren’t according to those responsible for getting things done. That’s pretty pathetic. Who exactly do you have to be in order for the law agencies to actually look for you? Shouldn’t it be the same for all people regardless of how they may “appear”.
Good grief!!!

So there you have it, a total and complete change of heart of a few malcontents.

Billy nor I have changed our tune at all ever.  We have said from the beginning what McDermott told us, and have stuck to it.  We have applauded when new detectives were assigned to the case, and hoped and prayed that they had fresh eyes, and zeal in finding Christine.

I am personally appalled that the sister of this woman felt the need to spend the afternoon going through the archives and finding what these people used to say in support of the family, and against local law enforcement, who have now formed their own contingency that tries to discredit the family and divide our community further with their NEW TUNE.

Having the Townspeople come together and search for Christine was a good thing, it is what towns across America do when someone is missing, why now is everything that was good turned into something that is now bad?

Look at the picture that is posted, and look really really hard, because it is these children who you are forever scarring with your hateful venom.  When they grow up and read about their Mommy it is your words that they are going to read.  You brave adults who don’t even have the guts to sign your own names, on a blog that allows you to post anonymously, that has a button on it’s right hand side that blocks people it doesn’t like. Do you really think your gonna get the whole story from that site that doesn’t even allow Christine’s mother to view it?

Wake up people and think about what you are doing to this family, if you are going to assassinate the characters of people you don’t even know, you could at least sign your name.
