Pocomoke City Gets 10 1/2″ of Snow in 2010 Blizzard

Most residents of Pocomoke were smart enough to stay off the roads yesterday during the brunt of the biggest blizzard we have seen since moving here in 1987. The unofficial tally from measuring several spots around the yard was an average of 10 1/2″ of accumulated snow.

Good Ole’ Paula Dean the Butter Queen has an Equally Delicious Recipe for Snow Creme
Ingredients     

8 cups snow, or shaved ice
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Pocomoke WalMart Closed

Yes, Walmart has closed it’s doors this evening due to the snow storm and low visability on the roads.
Since the storm has really throttled down on the Lower Shore many roads are simply impassable, probably causing many employees not to be able to report to work.
