It has been said that with the latest rash of robberies that ever since Dale Trotter left the Pocomoke Police force and moved on to the Worcester County Sheriffs office there is no longer any officers on the force who are trained in evidence gathering.

When our house was robbed, Trotter came over with his CSI kit and dusted all the obvious places with his fingerprint kit.

With all of the grants that Cheif is so good at getting, like $6000. for an Easter Egg hunt or $12,000. for  his back to school giveaway you would think that maybe he would see the need to really help the community by sticking to the reason for the police force and that would be fighting crime.

I bet the very people who have robbed these homes have been the recipients of backpacks and bicycles and Easter Eggs over the years, yet we don’t have a CSI kit and no one who knows how to work it on the force.

Get your priorities straight Pocomoke!

Will they be caught?

Will the property be returned?

Being robbed is akin to being raped…in that one feels so deeply violated.

Let’s hope our neighbors are lucky and get their property back!

You can never be too careful during these times of economic upheaval.  People become more desperate by the day and one never knows what they will resort to.

Keep your eyes and ears open and talk to your neighbors and look out for each others property.  If the thugs know we are a closely knit neighborhood then they are less likely to help themselves to our things.

As it stands right now the lower savannas of the Gulf region are contaminated beyond repair not only from the oil but even more so from the the chemical solution (that BP also owns) that is supposed to clump up the oil.   People know the effects of oil on wildlife the environment, but the long term effects of the disbursement chemicals is unknown.

In our conversation we talked through the possibility of oil plumes rounding the Florida Keys and getting caught up in the Gulf Stream and sweeping up the Eastern Seaboard in the currents.

Just in time for hurricane season, monstrous oil plumes sweeping up into the Atlantic just offshore of the East Coast, and then throw in a hurricane for good measure.   No matter where the Hurricane actually landed wouldn’t even matter because of the fact that oil and water don’t mix therefore the oil will be floating on the surface and as the winds and rain start whipping up the seas the entire East Coast will be inundated with rain that is made up of mostly oil.

What then will happen to places like the Eastern Shore?

What will happen to our rich farm land?

What will happen to our pristine beaches?

What will happen to our abundant wildlife?

What will happen to our waterways and tributaries?

What will happen to our way of life?

Think for a moment of a Nor’Easter in the late fall and winter with the wind whipping the rain sideways for days on end?

Will our cars, and houses and selves be covered in oily rain?

Will our grass and crops grow again next year?

Will our groundwater be forever contaminated?

It’s time to start asking these questions!

It’s been 2 months since this oil well collapsed in the Gulf and our Government had DONE NOTHING about it.

I understand the right to private property, and believe in it whole heartedly, yet in our town, we have an ordinance that we can’t have untagged cars in our yard or else they will be towed.  Even though it is my private property, I still have to abide by the rules of the town.

If I drilled a hole in my backyard and struck oil but couldn’t figure out how to cap it off and flooded the streets and yards of our neighbors and town, and river , then the bay etc.,  wouldn’t you think that the government would step in and figure out a way to cap and then bill me for the cost of fixing it and cleaning up the mess?

Of course they would, so please someone please, tell me why we are just sitting on our thumbs watching this disaster unfold?

Marty Pusey, a Snow Hill resident, will join Pocomoke City Mayor Michael McDermott in attempting to take the two Worcester and Wicomico delegate seats out of the Democrats’ control.

“The needs and the values and the concerns of the Lower Shore are not being represented in Annapolis and the culture of tax and spend continues by the dominant party,” Pusey said. Democrats, she said, “have had control of the assembly for a century, and as a result we’ve become one of the most highly taxed states with the fewest liberties. I feel the people in our area deserve better.”

If elected, Pusey said she would push for tax breaks and decreased regulation for small businesses — moves she said will help to restart the economy — and be an advocate for agriculture.

“I’ve spent over 30 years on a farm and have raised chickens, and I’m very concerned about what’s happening to our farmers and the extra regulations being put on an industry that is already struggling,” she said.

If policies don’t change, Pusey warned, many farmers could be pushed out of the industry by over-regulation and narrowing profit margins.

A lifelong Worcester resident, Pusey currently works as the director of prevention services at the Worcester County Health Department, where she has been employed for about 20 years; serves on the local Drug and Alcohol Abuse Council; and owns a bridal store in Salisbury with her daughters.

Register of Wills: Charlotte Kerbin Cathell,  will face George Colburn in the election.

The primary election is Sept. 14, and the general election is Nov. 2.

But now with our screwed up early voting program, one can vote over a week before the actual election.

Whatever you do, study the agendas of the candidates and make an informed vote. 

I will not be voting along party lines this year, I will be voting for who has and will do the most and the best for our county and state.

Today’s meeting was quite successfull as about 30 to 35 people were in attendance as well as a few council members, showing the Law Enforcement community that the town means business when they say that they want to make our city a safer place to live.

Yet, Mikey McDermott must have been out campaigning for the coveted Delegate Seat.

Instead of leading the town in one of the biggest problems that it faces , he instead chooses to ignore the problem completely and has been a NO SHOW at both meetings that have been held!

What kind of leadership is this?

Guess he doesn’t care about Pocomoke anymore….

McDermott signs are sprouting up all over town like mushrooms as he goes door to door telling citizens what they want to hear in order to get elected.

If you are even considering McDermott for Delegate, give a look to Marty Pusey instead.

She has been a true ‘UNPAID’ servant to the people of Worcester County, working dilligently on many many campaigns over the years, to get the candidates that she supports elected.

Think about the agenda’s of those running for office before you cast your vote for them….Are they Career Politicians whose agenda is to climb the political ladder, or are they citizens like you and I who know there is something terribly wrong and are willing to give their lives to fix it?

I don’t know what happened to Mike after being elected but he sure is not the same man as before Boss Hogg got his claws into him, that’s for sure.

The citizens of Pocomoke City know for a fact that Mike McDermott is a liar for not keeping one single campaign promise, now his most vocal supporter on the Eastern Shore is a man who was convicted of perjury that has had restraining orders placed against him for stalking the children of people he fears are his political opponents and enemies.

The most recent attack was where this blogger who supports McDirty dressed in drag in a feeble attempt to humiliate a woman that used to be one of his most faithful supporters and contributing writer of original content, just like he attacked Stephanie after being paid off by Pocomoke’s Boss Hogg government officials a few years ago.

Is there no depth to the lows that Mike McDermott’s supporters will go to in trying to defame a candidate?

It’s funny that some people will ask what I mean when saying that “Boss Hogg must have the equivalent of a picture of them screwing a goat…”

These attacks coming out of dalMar DE are typical of how a candidate that Boss Hogg does not support are treated.

Vicious lies, rumors, innuendo and more to create doubt in the minds of the voting public.

Heck I was even arrested for recording Mayor / Detective Mike McDermott admitting to being a witness and co-conspirator in the crime of destroying public documents and the dumping of toxic waste into the Pocomoke River… While my wife was a candidate for public office in Pocomoke City because McDermott wanted to see me in jail for turning his sorry ass into the Attorney General.

Ablero appears to be off his meds attacking Republican women who stand next to Mikey on the AFP platform..

Dressing in drag seems to cum natural to him during a venomous rant.

The people of Pocomoke need to know this is the type of person that Mike McDermott solicited to support his campaign.

Crack cocaine is still plentiful in Pocomoke’s open air drug markets.

McDirty has blamed the crime in Pocomoke on people coming up from Virginia to score drugs at the open air drug market his private police department has sworn to protect.

City Council meetings are still not televised or webcast.

McDirty signed legislation allowing ballot box stuffing election fraud in Pocomoke City elections.

Just VOTE NO to Mike McDermott for state delegate…

Our webmaster is away at the Philmont Scout Ranch spending quality time with his sons and the Boy ScoutTroop he leads. That means no cell phones, no lap top computer and no connection to the outside world so he could not “fix” whatever is wrong with the Tattler.

To those of you who do not know it the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is celebrating it’s 100 year anniversary here in the United States.

I am sorry to disappoint all of the people who believed the rumors from the dalMar donKey boyee that the Burke’s are done and cannot afford to pay our Internet bills because of the expensive legal battle with Mayor Mike McDirty when he was recorded admitting to witnessing City Manager “Boss Hogg” Russ Blake destroy public government documents.

People may remember that the felony wiretapping charges were dropped in that case largely due to the fact the recording was turned over to the Maryland Attorney General and Worcester County States Attorney Joel Todd asking for prosecution of McDermott and Blake.

It will be a few weeks until our webmaster is back in communication with the real world ready to provide us with services.

What you see here is the “old Tattler” that we kept as a backup on our old servers and it’s chock full of posts & articles many people have been asking to see anyways that we simply never got around to plugging into the “new” system.

Neither the medical examiners office in Baltimore nor Mr. Todd’s office have released any information that the remains have been positively identified as Christine Sheddy or anyone else.

At this point in time we have received word the body is still “Jane Doe” and will “officially or unofficially” remain so until a positive identification has been made, with the information released through the proper official channels.

The Blogosphere has lit up over the weekend with a lot of speculation about the identity of the body and who is in charge of the investigation. Whose on First?

We can say one thing is certain, that a very pissed off mother has lead the charge in this case and Lynn Dodenhoff is a force to be reckoned with. Cops & investigators from a variety of agencies know this for a fact and so do the bad guys, but to come out and say with 100% certainty that Christine has been found is premature right now.

There are a lot of people who have made a lot of comments about this case around the Blogosphere and all I can say, is wait until the truth comes out.

The statements made by lead detective / corrupt mayor Mike McDermott have been on the record for over a year now and he has made it clear to the public & law enforcement that a proper investigation of Ms. Sheddy’s murder simply was not worth his precious time.

*IF* the facts reveal that Worcester County State’s Attorney Joel Todd and his team of investigators working with Christine’s Mom led to finding her body then they deserve a medal and our support come election time.

Finding Christine’s body is only part of the job and we all certainly hope that it was her found in that serene Snow Hill location last week.

Injustice 1: Christine Sheddy was ripped from her children’s arms then brutally murdered with her body hidden in plain sight.

Injustice 2: The lead investigator Mike McDermott did not like the victims MySpace page and told her mother that she was a sponge on society who would not be missed and had probably abandoned her children to go on a drugging spree in Seattle, Washington.

Injustice 3: False reports & rumors are being spread as fact throughout the blogosphere by people who are scurrying to save careers and reputations.

The Eastern Shore still has the small town mentality which is good but everyone saying that they have “unofficial confirmation” that the body found was Christine Sheddy is crazy to publish it as fact. Especially in light of the fact that several groups of investigators have been proven to have lied to the family and the public on this case.

You want to see a family whose names are being drug through the mud, slide on over to the darkside of the hate mongers site. I havent been there in a long time, but I hear they are having fun at our expense. I wonder if they would be brave enough to come out from behind the safety of their computor screen and say these things to my face.

I wonder if they know that one day they will have to give an account for every word they say. I will have to explain why I said all those bad things about Mcdermott. I think its pretty clear why I dislike McDermott, basicly, he let Christine’s murderers get away.

To whom much is given, much is required. Mcdermott was given authority to enforce the law and the powers of arrest.

He chose to think Christine was not worth his time, that she was a sponge on society as he put it, to my wife, on the phone , as she cried.

Can you imagine how low a person has to be to do that.

So you see, anything can happen in p-city, and I question everything.”
